We first met on Mercer Island back in 2010—two Seattle kids crossing paths at a Halloween party without any idea of what was ahead. Over the years, we stayed loosely connected: a few trips to LA, a few visits home to Seattle, and plenty of missed chances that eventually led us exactly where we were meant to be.

Our story truly began on April 17, 2016 in Indio, CA at Coachella, when Oliver officially asked Julia to be his girlfriend. From there, we navigated four years of long-distance, survived the ups and downs of pandemic life in Seattle, and ultimately landed together in Los Angeles in February 2022.

Just after our ninth anniversary, Oliver popped the question at his parents’ home in Seattle—an intimate moment nearly a decade in the making.

And now, 16 years after that first Halloween meeting, we’re thrilled to be celebrating our wedding in the Desert, surrounded by the people we love most. We can’t wait to share this next chapter with you!
